They same 'home is where the heart is', which I usually take to mean that we can feel at home anywhere we put our heart and soul into. This may indeed be true, but there are some physical places where we feel more at home than others. For me, the city of Bangor is very much such a place . . and I'm not just saying that because it's all new and exciting to me: I used to live her 30 years ago as an undergraduate. It's drawn me back. But why? What's this place got that other places don't? I can only speak for myself obviously, but from speaking to others who are keen to stay here, at least some of the followings points are shared by many:
A
city so small you can walk it around
A balance twixt man and nature is easily found
There
beach, sea and pier on which to promenade
There Snowdon, mountains and many a shady glade
It's
Welsh with it's music and cultural taste
And community mutlicultural from University based
Good
buses and trains to get to and fro
For those times you DO want to go
But
such times are rare, for Bangor you see
Is such a wonderful place in which to BE!
